Mike... assuming you're earnestly asking - I'll answer. But I'll answer with a question. Why do you *think* it might be so important for people like me who have rarely before injected any thoughts like this into their content? Perhaps you might consider that there is, at some point, a level of foolishness where people who consciously avoid discussing politics feel like they need to address it.

My observation - and it was exactly that - has nothing to do with left/right political issues. Nor is it about a "superiority complex." I would be calling out the patently, demonstrably, and objectively stupid things that this government is doing with our trade and economic policy whether it was a Republican or Democrat doing it.

We can have an honest debate about the intricacies of international trade policy. But there is no defending what this government is doing currently. And it's personally fucking with *my* business and - until otherwise proven to me - is as feckless as it is filled with grift as I've seen in my 59 years of being on this planet.

So, yeah, I'd rather it wasn't part of the story. But it is now. You got the movie wrong. It's not the Hollywood Shuffle. It's The Patriot....

All the years of hard work and sharing of your massive intellect with a willing audience ... and then you do the Hollywood shuffle. You turn off half your loyal audience with your politics, which contributes nothing to the story. Why? I know it's not the first time, but honestly - why is it so important for some people who provide such positive contributions to an industry to sour it with their political superiority complex?
